What is mindfulness meditation and what are the benefits? A definition of Mindfulness is maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and environment. When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we're sensing in the present moment rather than living in the past or imagining the future. This gives us the ability to operate from a less reactive state, with more awareness in our choices and the way we feel. Mindfulness is also accepting the reality as it is.

Our minds run wild on an ongoing bases, and most often we loose control over our thought pattern leaning towards negative thought tendencies. We become reactive instead of responding, reproducing the same behaviours on autopilot over and over. Through mindfulness meditation we can break this cycle. The more we practice the more control we get over our wild monkey mind, till we get to the point when we can actually witness our thoughts arising, notice the quality of the thought and let it go without identifying with it. By focusing on something as simple as the breath you can build up your concentration, calm your nervous system, relax your body and increase your quality of life.

For this sessions we use the Muse Brain-Sensing headband, a biofeedback technology tool that reads your brain waves and analyzes the data providing you with an accurate real-time feedback of what's happening in your brain while you are meditating. It can also compare different sessions to track your progress.

In this program we focus on improving your life on a wider spectrum.  We use asana to target the different energy systems in the body (Chakras), and also kriyas to balance your endocrine system. A complete approach to the 8 limbs of yoga that meets you where you are at and helps you set goals for yourself. Includes a Yoga Nidra for optimum relaxation and integration of the session.
